Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of I Have a Contact.

The service is operated by hungryhuman in New South Wales, Australia.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use I Have a Contact.

We do not currently operate a formal age-verification system.

By using the service, you represent that you meet the minimum age requirement.

I Have a Contact allows users to search for and view certain publicly available Instagram-related information without signing into Instagram.

Depending on availability, the service may display:

  • public profile details
  • active public stories
  • public posts
  • public reels
  • public comments
  • public replies

The service does not provide access to private Instagram content.

I Have a Contact is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Instagram or Meta.

The service does not require your Instagram login.

You must not submit Instagram credentials through:

  • the profile-search form
  • the support form
  • account fields
  • any other application input

The service does not promise complete anonymity, invisibility or an absence of technical records.

The service supports:

  • anonymous guest sessions
  • registered Free accounts
  • Pro accounts
  • Pro+ accounts

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining control of your account email
  • protecting access to your authentication provider
  • activity conducted through your session
  • providing accurate support and billing information

Do not transfer, sell or share paid-account access in a way intended to evade limits.

Current search allowances are:

Guest:

  • one lifetime profile search per anonymous session or account identity, subject to enforcement measures

Free:

  • two profile searches per UTC day

Pro:

  • 25 profile searches per UTC day

Pro+:

  • 50 profile searches per UTC day

Allowances:

  • reset at the stated backend reset time
  • may be subject to rate limits
  • apply to valid profile-search attempts
  • may be consumed even if a third-party provider later returns no result or an error
  • do not guarantee that content will be available

We may adjust allowances for future use by updating plan descriptions and these Terms.

Changes do not alter accrued mandatory legal rights.

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.

You must not use the service to:

  • harass, stalk, threaten or intimidate anyone
  • facilitate violence or abuse
  • target children or vulnerable people
  • evade privacy controls
  • attempt to retrieve private content
  • scrape or automate the service without permission
  • bypass allowances or rate limits
  • share credentials or tokens
  • interfere with service infrastructure
  • submit unlawful content-removal demands
  • misuse personal information
  • violate applicable law or third-party rights

The service relies on third-party providers, including HikerAPI, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Google and website infrastructure providers.

Third-party content may be:

  • incomplete
  • unavailable
  • delayed
  • duplicated
  • outdated
  • removed
  • inaccurate

We do not control Instagram or the continued availability of public Instagram information.

Private-profile content is not accessible through the service.

Paid membership does not unlock private content.

Another search, account creation, subscription upgrade or Instagram login will not make private content available through I Have a Contact.

Paid subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.

Current plans are:

Pro:

  • US$4.99 per month
  • 25 searches per UTC day

Pro+:

  • US$8.99 per month
  • 50 searches per UTC day

Stripe processes subscriptions and payments.

I Have a Contact, its original branding, interface, mascot, copy, software and design are owned by or licensed to hungryhuman.

Instagram-related names, trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.

Using the service does not grant ownership of third-party content.

You may not:

  • copy or resell the service
  • reproduce the mascot or branding
  • reverse engineer restricted parts of the service
  • claim association with hungryhuman
  • remove proprietary notices

If you are concerned about content displayed through the service, use the Content Removal and Complaints Process.

Submitting a request does not guarantee removal.

We may restrict, remove, cache-expire or refuse to display content where reasonably appropriate.

We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

  • misuse
  • suspected fraud
  • security concerns
  • payment failure
  • breach of these Terms
  • excessive automation
  • legal obligations
  • third-party provider restrictions
  • risk to another person or the service

Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be:

  • uninterrupted
  • error-free
  • available in every country
  • able to retrieve every profile
  • able to display every public item
  • free from third-party changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • public social-media information is provided on an as-available basis
  • third-party content is not verified by hungryhuman
  • the service is not a private-investigation service
  • search results should not be relied upon for legal, employment, credit, safety or identity decisions
  • availability of information does not establish accuracy, ownership, conduct or identity

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, hungryhuman is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from:

  • reliance on third-party content
  • provider outages
  • changes made by Instagram or another provider
  • unauthorised account access outside our reasonable control
  • misuse of search results
  • loss caused by violating these Terms

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law.

To the extent allowed by law, you are responsible for loss reasonably arising from your unlawful use, deliberate misuse, infringement of third-party rights or material violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Courts with jurisdiction in New South Wales may hear disputes, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available to consumers elsewhere.

We may update these Terms.

Material changes may be communicated through the website where reasonably appropriate.

Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires another form of agreement.

Use the in-app form for questions, complaints or legal notices concerning the service.
